8. Serve as liaison or lead for the agency on interagency or interdepartmental task forces, committees, conferences and critical meetings on pertinent geologic, minerals, energy, hydrologic or other similar kinds of interdisciplinary natural resource issues.

Communicate with and influence high-level officials in policy making roles such as those in Federal agencies, State and local regulatory agencies, congressional staffs, universities, non-governmental organizations, private industry, etc., as a spokesperson for geologic, hydrologic, physical science, and/ or other related natural resource, research, assessment, and application programs.
