Applicants must demonstrate four (4) or more years of professional legal experience that is commensurate with the duties and responsibilities of the position. Such experience includes practicing law in the public or private sector in one or more of the following: practicing with or before one or more Federal regulatory agencies; drafting or commenting on regulatory documents such as Federal regulations, citizen petitions or petitions for stay of action and/or reconsideration on regulatory matters; drafting legal pleadings; and researching and analyzing complex or controversial Federal statutes and regulations. This experience must be comparable to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal government. At the GS-14 level, you must demonstrate that you have the capacity to perform with substantial independence even when working on the most complex or difficult tasks.A.
