A. Experience: I possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 (advanced technician) level. For this position, specialized experience is experience conducting environmental monitoring and management activities, such as wildlife inventory and monitoring activities for a variety of wildlife species, exotic plant management, monitoring visitor use impact on natural resources, and/or natural/environmental site restoration activities. For example, I served as a crew member or leader conducting field surveys in remote locations to document and assess environmental or natural resource conditions; animal presence, abundance, reproduction, management issues, and population dynamics; conducted ecological/resource assessments or inventories or management activities; exotic plant management; or other similar biological resource management and assessment activities using established protocols and standard scientific equipment. In carrying out this work I followed established protocols and recorded wildlife data using computer software (such as Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, ArcGIS, Pathfinder Office, or comparable ones).

B. Education: I have successfully completed one year of graduate study concentrated in a field that is directly related to the work of this position, i.e., in environmental sciences, biology, botany, wildlife sciences, ecology, natural resource sciences/monitoring, or other directly-related subject area.

C. I have a combination of experience and undergraduate education as described in the qualifications section of the vacancy announcement that, when combined, is equivalent to 100% or more of the qualification requirement.
