Thank you for your interest in the Supervisory Park Ranger, GS-0025-11, position in Rocky Mountain National Park. Your responses to this questionnaire, in conjunction with the other portions of your completed application, will be evaluated to determine your qualifications for this position. 1. Carefully read the following descriptions of experience and education. Select the one that best describes your qualifications for GS-11 Supervisory Park Ranger.  Make sure your resume supports the response that you select.

A. I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in the Federal service. Examples of specialized experience include park guide or tour leader; law enforcement or investigative work; archeological or historical preservation research work; forestry and/or fire management work in a park, recreation, or conservation area; management, assistant, or program specialist work involving the development and implementation of policy related to protection, conservation, or management of park areas or similar operations. IN ADDITION, I also possess prior law enforcement experience as gained by substantial service in a primary or secondary law enforcement position or equivalent experience outside of the federal government. Law enforcement experience must be equivalent to that received in a primary law enforcement position which included investigating, apprehending, or detaining individuals suspected or convicted of offenses against criminal laws; or protecting officials against threats to personal safety.
B. I have three full years of progressively higher level graduate education, a PH.D., or equivalent doctoral degree related to the occupation. Related major studies include natural resource management, natural sciences, earth sciences, history, archeology, anthropology, park and recreation management, law enforcement/police science, social sciences, museum sciences, business administration, public administration, behavioral sciences, sociology, or other closely related subject pertinent to the management and protection of natural and cultural resources. IN ADDITION, I also possess prior law enforcement experience as gained by substantial service in a primary or secondary law enforcement position or equivalent experience outside of the federal government. Law enforcement experience must be equivalent to that received in a primary law enforcement position which included investigating, apprehending, or detaining individuals suspected or convicted of offenses against criminal laws; or protecting officials against threats to personal safety.
C. I have a combination of specialized experience as described in A and more than two years of graduate education as described in B which total at least one year. To compute, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond two years by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100% to qualify. IN ADDITION, I also possess prior law enforcement experience as gained by substantial service in a primary or secondary law enforcement position or equivalent experience outside of the federal government. Law enforcement experience must be equivalent to that received in a primary law enforcement position which included investigating, apprehending, or detaining individuals suspected or convicted of offenses against criminal laws; or protecting officials against threats to personal safety.
