ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS, GS-07/09

2. From the description below, select the response that best describes how you meet the Additional Requirements for this position at the GS-07 and/or GS-09 grade levels.

A. I qualify for this position at the GS-07 grade level because I have successfully completed a full four-year course of study from an accredited college or university in Education or Leadership and Executive training AND meet one of the following superior academic achievement provisions: Grade-Point Average: (A) grade-point average of 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B" or better) as recorded on the transcript, or as computed based on four years of education, or as computed based on courses completed during the final two years of the curriculum; or (B) a grade point average of 3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B+" or better) based on the average of the required courses completed in the major field, or the required courses completed during the final two years of the curriculum. (Note: grade-point averages will be rounded to the one decimal place. For example, 2.95 = 3.0, 2.94 = 2.9, and 3.45 = 3.5 when rounded to the one decimal place.) (C) Class standing in the upper third of the graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision, such as College of Liberal Arts or School of Business Administration, based on the completed courses; or (D) Election to Membership in a National Scholastic Honor Society other than freshman scholastic honor societies. NOTE: You must submit provide evidence that you are eligible for SAA to qualify using this option (e.g., a copy of your transcripts (official or unofficial) that shows your GPA, evidence of membership in a scholastic honor society, etc.). Otherwise you will be found ineligible.

B. I qualify for this position at the GS-07 grade level because I have one year of full-time specialized experience comparable to the GS-05 grade level in Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) that involved the following types of duties: 1) assisting in analyzing and obtaining information and data on education/training needs; 2) maintaining records of training participants' program enrollments and completions; and 3) reviewing training program reports, documents, records, data, or other materials to verify completeness, correctness, consistency, compliance, or authenticity. NOTE: To qualify using this alternative, the contents of your resume must show where and when you acquired this experience and must fully support this response in its entirety. Otherwise, you will be found ineligible.

C. I qualify for this position at the GS-07 grade level because I have completed at least ONE year of graduate education in an accredited college or university in Education or Leadership and Executive training. One year of graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that your graduate school has determined to represent one academic year of full-time study. Such study may have been performed on a full-time or part-time basis. If you cannot obtain your graduate school's definition of one year of graduate study, 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) is considered as satisfying the requirement for one year of full- time graduate study. NOTE: To qualify using this alternative, you must submit a copy of your transcripts (official or unofficial) to verify your education. Otherwise, you will be found ineligible.

To combine education and experience, convert quarter hours to semester hours by multiplying by 2/3. To determine your percentage of qualifying graduate education, divide your number of graduate semester hours by 18, or by your school's definition of one year of graduate study. To determine your percentage of qualifying experience, divide your total number of months of specialized experience by 12. Add your percentage of education and experience together. The two must total at least 100 percent for you to qualify under this method. NOTE: To qualify using this alternative, the contents of your resume must support this response and you must submit a copy of your transcripts (official or unofficial) to verify your education. Otherwise, you will be found ineligible.

E. I qualify for this position at the GS-09 level because I have one year of full-time specialized experience comparable to the GS-07 grade level in Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) that involved the following types of duties: 1) assisting in conducting surveys and analyzing data on education/training needs; 2) researching requests for information related to training policy, program initiatives, and practices; 3) developing supportive background information for use by higher-graded training specialists and supervisors in making program decisions; and 4) administering requests for training which include the processing for authorization, agreement, and certification of training. Otherwise, you will be found ineligible.

G. Although I do not meet the complete requirements of either response A or B above, I qualify for this position at the GS-09 level because I have an equivalent combination of graduate education as described in B and specialized experience as described in A which can be combined to meet the requirement. To combine education and experience, convert quarter hours to semester hours by multiplying by 2/3. To determine your percentage of qualifying graduate education, divide your number of graduate semester hours in excess of 18 by 18, or by your school's definition of one year of graduate study. To determine your percentage of qualifying experience, divide your total number of months of specialized experience by 12. Add your percentage of education and experience together.
