BASIC EDUCATION REQUIREMENT - All applicants must first meet the basic education requirement as described below. (Must also meet one of the Additional Qualification Requirements below).

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS - In addition to meeting the basic education requirement, you must also possess specialized experience as described below to qualify for this position.

3. GS-9: Do you also possess two (2) years of technical work under the direction of a professional psychologist (under the direction of a professional psychologist is required and MUST BE documented on your application/resume) in a program of professional services, training or research? These two years of specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-7 level in the Federal Service. These duties may include one or more of the following: (1) assisting in research as in systematic collection of psychology research data, recording and collecting of data, preparing tabular or graphic presentation of data; (2) assisting counseling psychologist in contacting potential employers for purpose of making vocational placement, providing follow-up consultation, administering and scoring of interest, achievement and aptitude tests, securing work history and other relevant vocational information; (3) assisting neuropsychologist in administering and scoring of selected tests; (4) assisting psychologists in completing behavior rating scales or in conducting behavior modification; and assisting in treatment plan development. A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment. 4. GS-9: Do you possess two full years of graduate education or a master's degree in psychology in an accredited college or university to substitute for the two years of experience and meets in full the requirements at the GS-9 level? One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent one (1) year of full-time study. If that number cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours will be considered an academic year of graduate study. Part-time graduate education is creditable in accordance with its relationship to a year of full-time study at the school attended. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)
