BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

2. To qualify for this position you must meet one of the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Basic Requirements for Contract Specialist positions described below. Select the one option that best describes you. (You MUST submit copies of your transcripts supporting your education if selecting option A; failure to submit required transcripts by the close of the announcement may result in an ineligible rating.)

A. I possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees AND I have completed at least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management. (This requirement can be obtained within the degree or in addition to the degree).

B. I am a current employee of the DoD or a member of the armed forces (other than Coast Guard) who served as a contracting officer with authority to award or administer contracts in excess of the simplified acquisition threshold on or before 30 Sep 2000, or I served on or before 30 Sep 2000 in a position either as an employee in the GS-1102 series or as a member of the armed forces in a similar occupational specialty.

C. I am a DoD employee in the Contingency Contracting Force.

D. I do not meet any of the above requirements.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

I have successfully completed 1 full academic year of graduate education in one or a combination of the following fields: accounting, business finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management, OR law school, OR superior academic achievement.
C. I have a combination of specialized experience as described in A and education as described in B that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal 100 percent.
D. I do not have any of the requirements in A through C above, but I am willing to learn.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

I have 2 full academic years of progressively higher level graduate education or masters or equivalent graduate degree in one or a combination of the following fields: accounting, business finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management or LL.B. or J.D
C. I have a combination of specialized experience as described in A and education as described in B that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal 100 percent.
D. I do not meet any of the above requirements.
