I have one year (12-months) of full-time specialized work experience equivalent to the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service performing the following duties: collecting and analyzing rangeland vegetation and soil characteristics data for a rangeland research project; using hand tools, ATVs, and/or heavy equipment in a rangeland environment; identifying plants using taxonomy keys and measure vegetation cover, density, and biomass; collecting, preparing, evaluating, and verifying samples and supporting records; and keeping detailed records of experimental data.
B. I have successfully completed a 4-year course of study above high school leading to a bachelor's degree in one of the following fields: forestry, range management, agriculture or a subject-matter field directly related to the position that included at least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following courses: forestry, agriculture, crop or plant science, range management or conservation, wildlife management, watershed management, soil science, natural resources (except marine fisheries and oceanography), outdoor recreation management, civil or forest engineering, or wildland fire science. C. I do not possess the required amount of experience or education listed above, but I do have an equivalent combination of education and experience that may be qualifying. I have at least one year (12-months) of full-time specialized work experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service performing the following duties: participating in multiple phases of the research process by performing a variety of complex technical duties in a rangeline environment; adapting, modifying, or developing new techniques and/or procedures to satisfy the needs of a research project; collecting, preparing, evaluating, and verifying samples and supporting records; tabulating, statistically analyzing, and summarizing data using personal computers and software packages; initiating action to resolve or correct technical difficulties and results; and researching literature pertinent to the area of study for new procedures or techniques to use in a laboratory, field, or greenhouse.
B. I have successfully completed 1 year (18 semester hours) of graduate level education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree in any of the following areas: forestry, range management, agriculture, crop or plant science, conservation, wildlife management, watershed management, soil science, natural resources (except marine fisheries and oceanography), outdoor recreation management, civil or forest engineering, or wildland fire science.
