1. The Counseling Psychologist occupation has specific educational requirements which apply to all positions. From the options below, select the one which describes your educational background. Education must have been completed in a U.S. college, university, or other educational institution that has been accredited by one of the accrediting agencies or associations recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

I have successfully completed at least two (2) full academic years of graduate study directly related to professional work in counseling psychology, or satisfactory completion in an accredited educational institution of all the requirements for a master's degree directly related to counseling psychology is required.

Select the one statement below that best describes the education and/or experience that you possess that demonstrates your ability to perform the work of a Counseling Psychologist at the GS-11 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal service. I have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 grade level in the Federal service which includes providing direct counseling services to individuals and families individually and in groups, assessing patients' behavioral health using a full range of professional psychological and therapeutic techniques, auditing, maintaining and documenting patients case files.
B. I have a PhD degree or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D degree directly related to the work of the position. (NOTE: You must submit a copy of your unofficial transcripts at time of application.)
C. I have less than one year of specialized experience as described in A, and I have less than 3 years of graduate-level education as described in B. I have computed the percentage of the requirements that I meet, and the total is at least 100%. (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12.
