Basic Qualifications for the GS-11:   Do you have a minimum of one year of specialized experience, GS-9, directly related to this line of work.

Specialized Experience is defined as experience in writing, editing and producing news stories and/or feature stories in English for a recognized news website such as AP.org, UPI.com, Reuters.com, etc.; Such experience must have clearly demonstrated the ability to (1) understand and write about domestic and international affairs, (2) write for audiences of varying backgrounds and interests, and (3) write under deadline pressure.


OR

The education requirement may be met by three (3) full academic years of graduate level education or the successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or completion of all requirements for an LL.M.

Graduate Education: Major study--journalism communications, history, economics, political science, international relations, or other fields related to the position.

COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  Equivalent combinations of successfully completed education and experience may be used to meet the experience requirements.
