I have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level serving as a senior member in the payroll area, advising, assisting, maintaining liaison and communications with managers at all organizational and other personnel at field locations to resolve problems on complex issues, audits or problems relative to payroll issues, such as leave balance errors, withholding alimony, child support, bankruptcy payments, waivers for employees, garnishment orders, processing debts owed to the agency, retroactive pay adjustments, back pay awards and settlements, inquiries under the Freedom of Information and Privacy Act; interpreting and applying pay rules and regulations to analyze employee and payroll information to identify and resolve pay errors or discrepancies; serving as liaison on complex payroll support systems issues; researching and investigating facts involving administrative or program issues through completion and development of recommendations for corrective actions; conducting comprehensive training to field timekeepers and coordinators.
