5. Experience working as a state or local floodplain manager or permit official administering the policies and regulations of the NFIP.

6. Experience reviewing local ordinances to assure compliance including zoning and subdivision regulations building codes and other land use management tools.

7. Experience monitoring the compliance activities of communities and has provided training through local workshops.

8. Experience as a primary person responsible for planning and conducting large meetings, functions or events.

9. Experience presenting and explaining complex and technical information in an understandable manner.

10. Experience implementing and administering the NFIP and other mitigation or hazard reduction initiatives.

11. Experience providing technical assistance to local government officials as well as insurance agents for the preparation and implementation of the floodplain management regulations required for participation in the NFIP.

12. Experience responding to inquires on the NFIP, whether written or telephonic.

13. Experience writing correspondence, reports, and special projects on the NFIP.
