I qualify for this position because I have a degree that included at least 24 semester hours of mathematics and statistics (of which at least 12 semester hours were in mathematics and 6 semester hours were in statistics). Courses included at least four of the following: differential calculus, integral calculus, advanced calculus, theory of equations, vector analysis, advanced algebra, linear algebra, mathematical logic, differential equations, or any other advanced course in mathematics for which one of these was a prerequisite.
B. I qualify for this position because I have a combination of education and experience -- courses as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. The experience included a full range of professional statistical work such as (a) sampling, (b) collecting, computing, and analyzing statistical data, and (c) applying statistical techniques such as measurement of central tendency, dispersion, skewness, sampling error, simple and multiple correlation, analysis of variance, and tests of significance.

I qualify for this position at the GS-14 level because I have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: Planning, directing, and coordinating a variety of specialized and complex statistical research projects; designing and implementing surveys, including developing, pilot testing and administering questionnaires, and designing and executing appropriate survey samples; applying existing, and developing new quantitative and qualitative statistical methods and models to describe, analyze, synthesize and interpret data; summarizing and interpreting the results of research.
