QUALIFICATION REQUIRMENTS

1. From the choices below, select the option that shows how you qualify for this GS-2210 Systems Administration position at the GS-09 grade level.

A. I qualify for this position at the GS-09 grade level because I have at least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-07 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) which required me to perform all of the following: 1) assist in the application of information security/information assurance policies, principles and practices to System Administration work; 2) analyze IT assignments which have clear precedents, then select and apply the appropriate solutions; 3) under close supervision, plan, coordinate, modify, implement or troubleshoot IT systems in response to system or network customer needs; and 4) assist in the administration of assigned systems (including associated IT equipment and software and numerous interfaces) included in a Local Area network or Wide Area Network. NOTE: I understand that to be found qualified under this option; my resume must explicitly show that I performed all these duties for one full year.

B. I qualify for this position at the GS-09 grade level because I hold a Masters' or equivalent graduate degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks. (Or two years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Masters' or equivalent degree that meets the requirements described above.)
