A. Have a bachelor's degree in any field of study and meet Superior Academic Achievement (S.A.A.) criteria. S.A.A. is based on (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average, or (3) honor society membership.
Class standing -- Applicants must be in the upper third of the graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision, such as the College of Liberal Arts or the School of Business Administration, based on completed courses.
Grade-point average (G.P.A.) -- Applicants must have a grade-point average of: 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B" or better) as recorded on their official transcript, or as computed based on 4 years of education, or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum; or 3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B%2B" or better) based on the average of the required courses completed in the major field or the required courses in the major field completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum.

Have one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-5 grade level in the Federal service providing assistance on administrative management initiatives; gathering information in order to evaluate facts and suggest solutions; maintaining automated tracking systems; reviewing correspondence for errors; and utilizing a personal computer and a variety of software applications.
C. Have one full year of graduate level education, or possess a master's or higher degree, e.g., LL.B, J.D., LL.M., Ph.D., in any field of study. One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent one year of full-time study. If that information cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours will satisfy the one year of full-time study requirement.
D. Have a combination of specialized experience as described in "B" above and graduate education as described in "C" above. To combine graduate education and specialized experience, determine the applicant's total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level. 2. Perform a variety of staff support and program management duties based on the needs, demands and/or size of an assigned office.
