I have successfully completed a four year course of study leading to a Bachelor's or higher degree in the physical sciences, life sciences, or engineering that included 30 semester hours in chemistry, supplemented by course work in mathematics through differential and integral calculus, and at least 6 semester hours of physics.(You must provide tne transcript that demonstrates the specific coursework above).
B. I possess course work equivalent to a major as shown in A above, including at least 30 semester hours in chemistry, supplemented by mathematics through differential and integral calculus, and at least 6 semester hours of physics, plus appropriate experience or additional education. (You must provide the transcript that specifically demonstrates the coursework as demonstrated above)
C. I do not possess the education and/or experience described above.

2. From the descriptions below, select the letter that describes the education or experience you have that demonstrates your ability to perform the duties of a GS-07 Chemist.

A. I meet one of the Superior Academic Achievement provisions described below that relates to my possession of a bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related field of study: (1) A grade-point average of 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B" or better) based on 4 years of education, or based on courses completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum; (2) A grade-point average of 3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 ("B " or better) based on the average of the required courses completed in the major field or the required courses in the major field completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum; (3) Class standing in the upper third of the graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision, such as the College of Liberal Arts, based on completed courses; or (4) Election to membership in a national scholastic honor society that meets the minimum requirements of the Association of College Honor Societies. B. I have one full year of graduate level study, or possess a master's or higher degree, in chemistry or a related field of study. (you must submit transcript)
C. I possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-05 level in the Federal service, planning and organizing laboratory work to complete required experiments or tests; performing standardized chemical tests and analyses utilizing physical tests or instrumental analyses; and writing laboratory reports.
D. I have less than the full amount of graduate education described in "B" and less than the amount of experience described in "C," but I have a combination of the type of education described in "B" and the type of experience described in "C" that, when combined, equals 100% of the total requirement.
