I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-05) in the Federal service performing administrative work primarily concerned with analyzing, developing, evaluating, or promoting improvements for a healthcare supply program. Examples of qualifying experience include stocking a variety of technical supplies ranging from common administrative and medical support materials through surgical instruments and surgical support equipment (e.g., heart-lung machines, X-rays, and supporting supplies such as film) for a surgery or inpatient care department in a hospital; input accountability records for non-expendable healthcare materials into a healthcare supply system; or record stock levels, rates of usage, reorder points, and requests for new healthcare items for a healthcare organization.

2. Administer a healthcare supply system by which all logistical transactions are processed.

3. Review management data reports to assure primary procurement systems for medical and dental supplies are functioning properly.

4. Maintain a supply systems user's customer catalog by adding and deleting products for each catalog.

5. Verify invoices in a supply system against orders for supplies and services to ensure accuracy.

6. Monitor the validity of automated data (such as receipt, issue or adjustment transaction data entries) against input documentation.

7. Review computer generated management data reports to identify problem areas within an automated supply system.

8. Reconcile purchases made on a purchase card within a an automated supply system.

9. Gather and analyze data retrieved from an equipment management system for the purpose of process improvement.

10. Interpret supply program policies to apply new work methods.

11. Interpret local regulations to determine appropriate application within the organization.

12. Orally coordinate with supply system users to disseminate information and regulations affecting the entire system.

13. Coordinate daily aspects of scheduling and management of medical supplies ensuring adjustments in order to support workload.
