Basic Education Requirement: Individual Occupational Requirements for the General Education and Training Series, 1701.

A. I possess a Degree that included or was supplemented by major study in Geospatial Technology which includes but not limited to digital cartography, GIS/GPS technology, photogrammetric and mapping and remote sensing, labs and other related activities.

I possess a combination of education and experience--courses equivalent to a major in education (Geospatial Technology) or in a subject matter appropriate to the position, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study described in A above.

In addition to the Basic Education Requirements listed above, you must also meet the following Experience Requirements for the Instructor (Geospatial Technology) position.

I possess one year of specialized work experience at the GS-09 level performing duties such as a fulltime Instructor (Geospatial Technology) in a college or equivalent education institution developing Geospatial Technology criteria for testing, assignments, and other instruments to evaluate student proficiency as well as responsibility for developing, annually updating and maintaining course/ program assessments.
B. I possess 3 year's of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D degree or Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree.
C. I DO NOT have the experience as described above.
