Make sure your resume supports your response that you select. If qualifying based on education, submit a copy of your college or university transcript(s).

A. I have at least 6 months of general experience in performing a variety of routine tasks in the suppression of wildland fires and using a variety of hand and power tools and equipment.
B. I have successfully completed 1 year of study that included at least 6 semester hours in a combination of courses such as range management or conservation, agriculture, forestry, wildlife management, engineering, biology, mathematics, or other natural or physical sciences.

C. I have a combination of experience as described in A above and education as described in B above. For example, determine the applicant's total qualifying experience as a percentage of the 6 months' experience required for GS-3; then deter-mine the applicant's education as a percentage of the l year of education that meets the requirements for GS-3. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for GS-3.
D. I have 2 seasons of experience, a season of experience is considered to be a period of no less than 3 months of continuous employment on a seasonal basis. Shorter periods may be combined to make a season, provided a total of at least 3 months' experience is shown. For any period where the work exceeded 3 months, the excess work is credited towards an additional season of experience.
