A. I have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in the federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position and is typically in or related to managing a maintenance program. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include: assisting with managing office or apartment building complexes, hospitals, or recreation facilities; assisting with planning maintenance activities and preventive maintenance programs for a facility; estimating materials and labor costs for a variety of maintenance projects or contracts; working as a planner, contractor, or inspector of journeyman in the construction industry; experience in building trade practices; and experience working with the Facility Management Software System (FMSS), or comparable maintenance management, cost estimating and/or project management systems.
B. I have successfully completed a related Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or three full years of progressively higher level related graduate education leading to a Ph.D., from an accredited college or university with a major in a field of study that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position, such as engineering, industrial arts, property management, or business administration; or LL.M, if related.
C. I have an equivalent combination of graduate education and specialized experience of the type and level described that when combined equal at least 100% of the qualifications requirement. For example, I have six months of specialized experience (50% of the required specialized experience) and 45 semester hours or 68 quarter hours of appropriate graduate study (50% of the required graduate level study).
