I have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal Service performing research or other work in the field of history when such work requires a professional knowledge of established methods and techniques of historical research in the collection, evaluation, analysis or presentation of historical facts. Specialized experience would include: conducting basic research on historical topics; collecting, analyzing, and evaluating historical facts and determining the relative importance of historical evidence; preparing basic history studies on specific topics.

B. I possess two years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent graduate degree that provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. This education must be directly related to the position.

Specialized experience would include: conducting primary and secondary source research on historical topics that research and detail a major historical topic with additional research and treatment of related topics; performing responsibilities that require use of historical judgment and ability to conduct extensive research, provide effective analysis, and deliver sophisticated oral and written communications; and planning, researching, and preparing original studies, monographs, briefings, booklets, articles, scripts, chronologies, exhibit labels, and other products that furnish detailed historical background and perspective to current and historic issues.

B. I possess three years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a PhD or equivalent graduate degree that provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. This education must be directly related to the work of the position.
