1. Select the one statement below that best describes your education, experience and ability to perform the work of a Technical Writer-Editor (Engineering) at the GS-11 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal service.

A. I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service which includes reviewing complex reports for use by program and agency managers; clearly and accurately write and format manuals and guidelines; and examining existing publications for clarity of expression, logical arrangement, validity of conclusions and adherence to policy.
B. I have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or three (3) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or completion of all requirements for an LL.M., if related, from an accredited college or university. Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Must include a total of 15 semester hours in an appropriate scientific, technical, or social science field(s), and at least one course above the introductory level in the field(s) covered by this position. For technical writers or editors, 15 semester hours gained through vocational or educational training above high school level at a public, private, or Armed Forces school is equivalent. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
C. I have some specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and I have less than three years of graduate-level education as described in B. I have computed the percentage of the requirements that I meet, and the total is at least 100%. (to compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then subtract 36 from your semester hours of graduate education and divide by 18; or subtract 54 from your quarter hours of graduate education and divide by 27. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100% to qualify) (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
